Design Notes

The codon-optimized blue chromoprotein was ligated into the BBa_K608002 vector containing a strong promoter and RBS sequence to form a basic part.


Source

The original blue chromoprotein sequence comes from the coral Acropora millepora. The blue chromoprotein part was retrieved from the 2011 iGEM Uppsala-Sweden team and was subsequently codon-optimized using the Codon Optimization tool provided by Interactive DNA Technologies.
